For the cameras, they’re all smiles, but behind the scenes the gal pals aren’t as close as you might think.
As it turns out Beyoncé has “never genuinely liked” her seemingly good mate, Kim Kardashian West.
A source close to the star told New York Post’s Page Six column: “Beyonce has never genuinely liked Kim.”
The source also claimed Queen Bey only “tolerated” the reality star because of their husbands’ friendship as well as for the sake of their mutual friends but her real feelings towards Kim were quite obvious.
“She is always a little icy to Kim. The last time they hung out, the minute Beyoncé could leave the conversation, she did. They always have lots of awkward pauses when they speak.”
Rumoured difficulties between the high-profile couples have been circulating for a while, with a no-show by Beyoncé and her husband, Jay Z, at Kim’s wedding to Kanye West in 2014.
The couples have been friends for years although there have been rumours of difficulties.
The pair’s presence at the ceremony was expected as their names had been engraved in the marble table for the wedding dinner.
Their lack of attendance at the high-profile nuptials added weight to the possibility relationships had become strained. The source explained: “[Beyoncé’s ] behaviour during the wedding proved she isn’t Kim’s biggest fan.”
Meanwhile, there’s also trouble brewing between the high profile husbands.
The pair – who used to be close friends – are on bad terms right now, with 39-year-old Kanye West lashing out at Jay Z for not visiting the pair after Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris earlier this month.
