In the days following Kim Kardashian’s armed robbery ordeal in Paris, the reality star was surrounded by supportive friends and family – but it seems Jay Z was not one of those who came to visit the mum-of-two after she returned home to the US.
Kim’s husband Kanye West slammed the rapper during his October 19 concert in Seattle, in video footage that has since been posted online.
“Don’t call me after the robbery and say, ‘How you feelin’?’” he can be heard saying.
“You wanna know how I’m feeling? Come by the house … Bring the kids by the house, like we’re brothers.”
Continuing with his on-stage rant, Kanye went on to reveal that his daughter North West has never had a play date with Jay Z and Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy.
Kanye, who has known Jay for several years and worked together with him on the album Watch The Throne among other projects, implied that disputes over music streaming services Tidal and Apple music were also playing a part in their rift.
“I can’t take this s—t, bro! Our kids have never even played together,” he lashed out.
While Jay might not be speaking out about the robbery, others in Kim’s inner circle are. John Legend, who is a close pal of the family’s along with wife Chrissy Teigen, said the incident was a wake-up call.
“Chrissy has been in touch with them, and, you know, I felt really bad for what happened,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“It makes you think about everything … The world, I do not think is, you know, it is not full of danger at every turn, but there is enough out there that you need to be aware of it, and, you know, be as cautious as you can while still enjoying yourself and not living in a box,” he said.
Since the incident took place on October 3, Kim has scaled back her presence on social media and has also rarely been spotted out and about.
“It’s a process. One day at a time,” mother Kris told E! News earlier this week of her daughter’s recovery after the robbery.
