The stars stepped out in their best to attend the 2016 BET Awards in Los Angeles today, with everyone from actress Gabrielle Union to singer Alicia Keys striking a pose for the cameras.
Beyonce opted to forgo the red carpet, but opened the awards ceremony with a show-stopping performance of her song ‘Freedom’ from her latest album Lemonade, featuring a powerful appearance from rapper Kendrick Lamar.
The singer is up for several awards at this year’s event, including Best Female R&B/Hip Hop Artist, and has already taken home the award for Video of the Year for her hit ‘Formation’.
Empire star Taraji P. Henson was named Best Actress, while Creed star Michael B. Jordan won Best Actor – and there are still plenty more awards to announce before the night is over!
