They were rumoured to be on a break last month after three years together, but Birdman star Emma Stone has stirred up speculation of a reunion with Andrew Garfield in a new interview.
Chatting to Diane Keaton for the May issue of Interview magazine, Emma had nothing but kind words for her on-again, off-again beau.
“He is such a poet. But that’s the way he writes in general,” she said, after Diane repeated some compliments Andrew had written about his experience working with Emma.
“So I hear it and of course my heart swells up. And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis,” she finished with a laugh.
“What a guy. He is a real Wordsworth,” Emma went on.
The two met on the set of 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man, where Andrew played the web-slinging vigilante and Emma played the feisty Gwen Stacy. The notoriously private couple have been together since then, although rumours of a break first emerged in April.
Emma and Andrew haven’t been photographed together for months, with some sources blaming the rift on Andrew’s intense role as a Jesuit priest in the newest Martin Scorsese film Silence.
