Adele turns down million-dollar tour offer

The music superstar has reportedly turned down big bucks to enjoy the quiet life at home

With the music world eagerly awaiting Adele’s follow-up to her chart-smashing 2011 hit 21, it’s no wonder there’s big money on the table for the British singer’s next tour!

The ‘Someone Like You’ singer’s new album is set to be released in November, and Adele has reportedly been offered £80 million to tour the record. Big-name Vegas venues such as Caesars Palace and the MGM Grand are said to have offered Adele a lucrative £500,000 a night to perform, while The Venetian is rumoured to have offered as much as £750,000 a night.

However, it’s unknown whether the songstress will take up the offer as she’s said to be settled into the quiet life with partner Simon Konecki and their two-year-old son Angelo.

“There are no concrete plans for a tour. In fact, people at the label admit they are clueless about whether Adele will tour at all,” a source told The Sunday People.

“It’s understood she is not keen to travel with Angelo as she adored quiet family life.”

Her family may not be Adele’s only concern, however. The Grammy award-winning performer suffered a vocal cord haemorrhage back in 2011 and had to undergo risky surgery to save her voice. Since then, she has only performed live at the 2012 Grammys and the 2013 Academy Awards, where she performed the James Bond theme ‘Skyfall’.

In the past, the singer has also admitted to stage fright, revealing on The Graham Norton Show that she had previously tried to escape from a venue and had even projectile-vomited due to nerves.

However, Billboard reports the singer’s third album – thought to be titled 25 – is definitely due to drop in November, with contributions from superstar producers Danger Mouse, Max Martin and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder.
