One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson is prepared for a big custody battle after filing papers to seek joint custody of his son Freddie Reign.

He began court proceedings after his ex, Briana Jungwirth, reportedly began restricting Louis’s access to his child.

The singer wants to ensure he spends as much time with his little five-month-old as he possibly can.

According to TMZ, the current non-formal arrangement between Louis and Briana has lead to the Story Of My Life singer having “inconsistent” access to see Freddie

Reports suggest that Briana might be jealous of Louis’s current girlfriend Danielle Campbell, but the mother of one has reportedly denied this.

According to TMZ, Briana is merely concerned Danielle might be a crazed fan who has access to her home.

The publication reports that Louis will now be seeking 50/50 joint legal and physical custody.

Louis has been very open about his transition to the role of father.

He recently said he was “still getting used to” being away from the little tyke while he’s on tour with One Direction.

Briana has posted several photos on social media of her little one.

“I miss him,” Louis confessed. “Obviously. But it’s cool. I do get Father’s Day now.”

Louis has been renting a home worth $1 million for his baby mama Briana.

He’s also rumoured to be paying the 23-year-old around $15,000 a month in child support.
