Brooklyn Beckham is ready to tell all in a new book

Brooklyn Beckham walking with wife Nicola

Brooklyn Beckham’s rift with his family is getting uglier by the day – but it’s set to get a whole lot worse as he and his wife Nicola Peltz plot to follow Prince Harry’s footsteps by penning a searing tell-all book!

“Brooklyn is seeing Harry as something of a mentor these days,” says an insider. “He really looks up to him, and admires the way he’s stood up for himself and his wife. It’s got him fired up to do the same thing.

“Brooklyn feels very misunderstood, so following the same path as Harry and sharing his truth is very appealing.

“He just wants to get his side of the story on the record. It’s likely he’ll do a TV interview first and then, depending on how that goes, follow it up with a book.”

How Prince Harry has inspired him

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s infamous two-hour TV interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 captivated 17.1 million viewers, and is largely considered the precursor to their $150 million deal with Netflix. In it, they accused an unnamed royal family member of racism and revealed Meghan’s mental health struggles, while Harry’s memoir Spare pointed to his “toxic” upbringing.

It will be interesting see how similar the picture Brooklyn, 26, paints of growing up in a famous family is.

The fallout in the Beckham family

Since Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, missed his dad David’s 50th birthday bash, confirming rumours of a feud, insiders have claimed his relationship with his parents is “toxic”, and that Victoria and Nicola are in a power struggle for Brooklyn’s attention, with Nicola keen to establish a brand outside of Brooklyn’s family name.

Sources have also suggested that Nicola has struggled with Victoria’s quick wit and dry put-downs, and there are whispers of a fashion fallout, with Nicola refusing to play the game by wearing Victoria’s designs at family events – something Posh expects of her inner circle.

Our source adds, “Brooklyn’s not out to trash his family – he loves his parents – but he feels like his side of the story has never been told.

“The pressure that came with growing up as the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham was so intense. It was like living in a fishbowl – everything he did was scrutinised.

“Sharing his truth feels like the only way to heal and take back control.”

Taking to social media

In London filming near his parents’ home last week, Brooklyn took to Instagram to post a shot of himself and wife Nicola riding a motorbike, captioning it, “My whole world. I will love you forever. I always choose you, baby. You’re the most amazing person I know. Me and you forever, baby.”

Sparking response from brother Cruz, 20, who posted a message of support for his parents, saying, “I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, Mum and Dad. You gave us life and cared for us no matter what. I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives.”

If the couple do go ahead with a book, which will likely earn them millions, our insider says. “It will be a huge blow to his relationship with his parents.”
