William’s work faux-pas

Prince William turned up almost an hour late for his new banking job yesterday after getting stuck in traffic. The nightmare began for the 23-year-old royal with a two-hour drive just to travel 12 kilometres across London. William’s new job at the HSBC investment division is part of a work experience programme before he joins the army in January. Meanwhile, bank workers have been banned from using camera phones to stop them from papping the prince for the duration of the time he works there. [16 November 2005]
