‘True Blood’ actor Stephen ooyer says that he does not regard ‘Twilight’ heart-throb Robert Pattinson as competition.
Stephen (39) drew criticism for calling his movie vampire counterpart “the Slim-Fast, Diet Coke of vampires” but later claimed he is not threatened by Robert (23) because their blood-sucking roles are very different. He says, “I can understand why you would give someone that book [Twilight] and say, ‘This is good – it’s about a chaste love affair. Please fall in love with Robert Pattinson.’ our show’s very different, of course, and has its place.”
Stephen is referring to the “seriously racy” – and very naked – love scenes between himself and Kiwi fiancée Anna Paquin, who plays his love interest Sookie Stackhouse on the hit Prime TV series.
‘True Blood’ is currently airing its second season in New Zealand, while Robert is shooting ‘Eclipse’, the third of the ‘Twilight’ films in Vancouver.
