Tom Hanks admitted he has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, after experiencing symptoms for 20 years. Tom, who stars in the drama Captain Phillips revealed the news on David Letterman this week, after the talk show host commented that the 57-year-old was looking slimmer.
“I went to the doctors and they said, ‘You know those high blood sugar numbers you’ve been living with since you were 36, well you’ve graduated, you’ve got Type 2 diabetes young man'”.
Tom revealed he is treating his diabetes by making diet and lifestyle changes.
