Sean Connery calls it a day

He was the original suave spy, father to Indiana Jones, and a Franciscan monk, but Sir Sean Connery has decided his acting days are officially over. Now eighty-years-old, Sean has not been especially active over the last seven years but has made it clear he doesn’t plan on making a comeback. “I don’t think I’ll ever act again,” the legendary actor confirms. “I have so many wonderful memories but these days are over.”

Sean played the iconic James Bond in seven film installments from 1962 to 1982, and was happy to discuss his experiences. “‘From Russia With Love’ was my absolute favourite,” he admits. “The story was intriguing and the locations were intriguing. It was an international movie in every sense of the word.” However, his favourite movie role of all time was playing Professor Henry Jones Senior in ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’.

of the experience, Sean says, “I was working with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. The teamwork was special. It was a great adventure and Harrison Ford and Denholm Elliot were wonderful actors. I had so much fun.”
