‘The Notebook’ star Ryan Gosling says he is often mistaken for fellow clean-cut actor Ryan Reynolds, causing disappointment for some eager fans. Both actors have blond hair, and have starred in romantic films, but Ryan believes the confusion might stem from sharing the same heritage more than anything. He says he is regularly swamped by fans wanting autographs and photographs with him who don’t immediately realise who he is. “I get that a lot – and I do think it’s because we’re both Canadian,” he explains. “I can’t tell you how many times people go, ‘Are you Ryan?’ And I go, ‘Yeah’. And they say, ‘Can I get a picture?’ Then they take the picture and realise, in that moment, that I’m not Ryan Reynolds. I can see the disappointment in their faces.”
