‘Legally Blonde’ star Reese Witherspoon has had a shift in her approach to the opposite sex in recent months, and it seems to have paid off with a marriage proposal! Reese (34), who was once married to Ryan Phillippe and dated Jake Gyllenhaal, is now engaged to agent Jim Toth. “A good girlfriend of mine said to me there’s something you learn as you get older as a woman: stop chasing after men and start looking at the men that are chasing after you,” she says. “That’s a hard thing to recognise, but it really rings true with me.” The mother-of-two says she has also changed her approach to getting a balance between her personal and professional life. “It’s important to cultivate a personal life that makes you just as happy as your professional life and I work really hard on that,” she says. “I have a lot of interests so my whole life isn’t just about making movies. That’s a dangerous place to be.”
