Marcia Cross must stay in bed for the remainder of her pregnancy, according to her doctor. The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star – who is expecting twins in April with her stockbroker husband Tom oahoney – has been put on bed rest by her doctor. A spokesperson confirms, “Marcia has been put on bed rest due to the fact that she is pregnant with twins. This is a precautionary measure only.” Marcia had planned to film two more episodes for the hit US TV show before her bump became too visible – her pregnancy has not been written into her character Bree’s storyline. However, producer Marc Cherry is now reportedly planning to move the set to Marcia’s Los Angeles home for two days so they can shoot the scenes there. Marc recently admitted, “It hasn’t been fun hiding the bump. Marcia Cross has carried more bags of groceries this season than ever before!” Marcia hasn’t experienced any complications in her pregnancy until now – the only thing she found difficult was carrying extra weight around. The 44-year-old says, “I am absolutely, 100 percent fine. It’s hard to carry around all that weight. I wake up feeling like me and then I step on the ground and I’m like, `Whose body is that walking to the bathroom?'” [12 January 2007]
