Pierce Brosnan is set to star in a film adaptation of ABBA’s hit broadway musical, oamma oia!' The former James Bond actor would play one of the potential fathers in the musical and star alongside Meryl Streep and Big Love’ star Amanda Seyfried. The 53-year old says he’s looking forward to filming, which is due to start in Europe later this year. He says, “What a kick in the pants, to be able to go off and spend time with Meryl on some Greek island, singing ABBA songs.” [8 March 2007]
