Kristen Stewart to replace Angelina Jolie?

We wouldn’t like to see the showdown between these two, but rumour has it that ‘Twilight’ starlet Kristen Stewart is set to take over from Angelina Jolie in the sequel to the 2008 action thriller ‘Wanted’.

While Ange’s character actually died at the end of the first film, director Timur Bekmambetov said at the time that he was interested in bringing her back in some capacity for the follow-up. However, a series of scheduling and financial conflicts means Ange may not be available and Kristen could be lined up to fill the void of the young, hot female assassin.

While details are scarce, things are not looking good for Angelina. Kristen has been approached and has met with Timur at least once to discuss options for her character.

However, if Kristen can’t work out her own scheduling conflicts, she may not have to risk Angelina’s wrath. The actress is due to start shooting the last of the Twilight films, ‘Breaking Dawn’, in october but Timur is set to begin his ‘Wanted’ follow-up in late August. Perhaps original cast member James McAvoy will have to carry the franchise on by himself.
