They’re about to star in a romantic comedy together, however, it seems that Drew Barrymore and Justin Long couldn’t ‘Go the Distance’ in real life. The actress has confessed that the couple’s on-off relationship is o-V-A-H.
But rather than feeling down about her latest failed love affair, Drew reckons she’s been given a new lease on life. The ’50 First Dates’ star says, “I’m thinking about the same things as when I was 15 – about spirituality and who I am, who I want to be. It’s cocoon, pupa, larva and I’m reborn!”
She continues, “For three years straight, I’ve been burning the candle at both ends and as of last December, I just didn’t have anything left. Now I’ve ripped the plug out of the wall and put it on the floor for a while.”
Despite being single again in her mid-thirties, fearless Drew – who was previously married to comedian Tom Green and dated Strokes rocker Fabrizio Moretti – is not worried. She insists, “If you’re 35 and single and it’s a choice, it feels fine. So I didn’t settle with the wrong person yet? Big deal!”
