Diane Keaton says she’s not interested in men any more – and she even describes herself as a happy old maid. The 61-year-old actress, who once romanced stars such as Warren Beatty and Woody Allen, reveals, “When I was younger I spent much too much time worrying about the men I was with. I don’t feel any excitement about men anymore – and it’s very liberating. I don’t miss having a romantic life. I never got married because I never had a relationship that was good enough.” The star, who won an oscar in Woody’s `Annie Hall’, adds, “You could say I’m an old maid. I remember when I was a kid, if you were labelled an old maid it was like being a witch. But now that I am one, I don’t feel that way.” [13 March 2007]
