Chris Brown defends Tiger Woods

He’s rather a dubious ally to have on your side, but R&B singer Chris Brown has come out in defence of disgraced golfer Tiger Woods.

Chris – whose career has never fully recovered from assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna last year – says, “I think it’s cool that Tiger apologised. People always deserve a second chance. I know my fans gave me a second chance. Whatever his personal life is, and this goes for me and him, his personal life is his personal life. Nobody has the right to place judgement on anybody else’s personal life if they’re not directly involved with them.”

The singer’s supportive words come days after former US president Bill Clinton offered some words of advice to Tiger. An insider reveals, “President Clinton spoke with Tiger and wished him well.” It wasn’t made explicit what Bill told the fallen golf champ, but we’re sure he used his considerable experience from his own public infidelity scandals to counsel Tiger through these tough times.

Meanwhile, even current president Barack obama has faith that golf’s former golden boy will make a full recovery. When asked if he believed that Tiger could be rehabilitated, obama answered, “Absolutely. I don’t want to comment on his personal relationship with his wife and family, but I’m a strong believer that anybody can look within themselves, find their flaws and fix them.”
