They say a diamond is forever – but not if you’re Charlotte Church! The Welsh songbird has confessed to dropping her sparkling new engagement ring down a plughole!
Charlotte, whose known for having “the voice of an angel”, was washing her hands at the farmhouse she shares with her fiancé, rugby star Gavin Henson, when the accident occurred.
Luckily, Charlotte was able to call in a plumber to retrieve the ring and end the panic. A friend reports, “The ring was trapped in the U-bend and the plumber found it within minutes. Charlotte was incredibly relieved.”
The singer, who has two children with sporting hero Gavin, only confirmed her engagement last week. No date has been set. Perhaps first she should look into getting her ring tightened before the big day!
