She played a competitive bridezilla in the romantic comedy Bride Wars, but Anne Hathaway’s own nuptials were much more pleasant over the weekend. The 29-year-old Les Miserables star tied the knot in to actor and jewellery designer, Adam Shulman, after a one-year engagement. Anne wore a stunning dress designed by Valentino and hired the same wedding planner as Natalie Portman for the ceremony attended by 100 people in Big Sur, California.

Running alongside California’s Pacific Coast Highway, Big Sur is famous for its links to the Beatnik poets such as Jack Kerouac, and Anne is said to have incorporated the natural landscape into her nuptials – the private estate in which the wedding was held was decorated with branches collected from the area.
Anne says she fell in love like a fool
“I am very much in love with him,” The Princess Diaries star said last year of their relationship. “I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!”
