When Alexis Smith* first searched the internet for “side hustles to make extra money”, she could never have imagined just how lucrative her next gig would be. Leaving her career in advertising, the 34-year-old is now a financial dominatrix, with “slaves” across the world who get their kicks simply by sending her their cash.
Queen Alexis the Baddest, as her clients know her, says the income she’s made has led to a luxury lifestyle of flash cars, designer clothes, shoes and handbags.
“One slave gave me $26,500 over a seven-week period, which is the biggest amount I’ve received in the shortest time,” she says.
Luxury purchases
“I bought a top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz in cash thanks to what another slave paid me over a two-year stint. “More recently, one bought me a designer bag that cost $4000. I could never imagine going back to a boring desk job!”

She reveals that some of her clients are “obsessed with feet”, so they’ll buy her designer shoes. Even as a little girl, Alexis has always had an eye for the finer things in life.
She says, “I’m an only child and my parents spoilt me whenever they could afford to. As a teenager, I created a Tumblr page with photos of all the designer stuff I dreamt of having one day. “Growing up, Mum used to tell me, ‘It’s better to cry in a Mercedes than on a bike’, and I guess I took that to heart.”
From advertising to side hustles
After leaving school, Alexis got a sociology diploma, then spent five years working in advertising, but she admits that by 2019, she was bored and wanted a change.
“I was fed up working for not much money and having to make my boss cups of tea, so I sat at my desk googling side hustles to make extra money,” she tells.
“At one point, I thought maybe I should get a sugar daddy, but I realised I didn’t want to give up the sugar!”
Discovering the world of findom
Stumbling across a woman online who claimed she made good money selling photos of her feet, Alexis decided to give it a try. She made $3500 in just a few weeks – more than she got paid for her job in a month.
But how did she progress from sharing photos of her feet to becoming a financial dominatrix?
Alexis explains, “One guy messaged me and asked for my payment method. He said all he wanted to do was to give me some cash. At first, I thought it was a scam, but I decided to risk it. “Two minutes later, a notification popped up saying the money was on its way to me and the bloke messaged saying, ‘Thank you, goddess’. He sent me $450 in just a few days.”
Becoming a full-time findom
While Alexis thought the exchange was a one-off, she tried her luck with other men and they started sending her cash too. After doing more internet research, she discovered her clients saw her as a financial dominatrix, otherwise known as a “findom”. What the men find enjoyable is playing a financially submissive role by handing over money and gifts demanded by the findom. The process is known as “draining” and there’s no sexual contact.
“It’s money for doing nothing!” she reveals. “They love it because I’m pretty.”
Within three months, Alexis handed in her notice at work to become a full-time findom. She now has slaves across the world, from the UK to Dubai – the majority of whom she has never even seen a photo of.
“I always check they’re over 18,” Alexis insists.
How the fetish works
“And the slave must pay $95 just to start speaking to me. They’ll tell me what their fetishes are, and what makes them feel weak and submissive. If they have a foot fetish, I’ll send them a photo of my feet and they’ll reply something like, ‘Thank you, goddess, you’re perfect.’ Then I’ll say, ‘If I’m so perfect, send me more money’. I ask for more every few minutes and I push them as much as I can.”
Despite having had hundreds of slaves since she became a financial dominatrix, she now has only 10 regulars. Aged between 20 and 50, they come from all walks of life. Some are single and others are married.
Promoting her services via OnlyFans and her three YouTube channels, Alexis admits she’s had some eye-opening requests.
“One guy paid me to watch a video of a truck picking up rubbish and another asked me to watch footage of a bulldozer crushing stuff,” she marvels.
“I do have strict boundaries, though. I would never tell a slave to do anything dangerous. Some men ask me to crush spiders and bugs with my shoes, but I always block them – I could never hurt another living thing.
