This Mother’s Day will be Anna Guy’s last as a mum of five; she’s happily expecting a new baby in July, her second child with partner Brent Jameson.
“I’m feeling very calm about baby number six,” says Anna, who “never imagined” she’d have six children.
“This baby will definitely be the last. I’m 35, my body can’t take it anymore!”
Anna, whose ex-husband Ewen Macdonald was acquitted of killing her brother Scott Guy in a high-profile murder case, now lives in Auckland with Jameson, 39, their daughter Ruby, 2, and her four children from her first marriage to Ewen Macdonald, Finn, 12, Jack, 10, Lucy, 9 and Wade, 7.
She says she’s learned to embrace a go-with-the flow approach to parenting.
“I think after everything that’s happened, I just want to enjoy the ride rather than worry about things being a certain way. We’re all happy and the days seem good.”
Anna says she is looking forward to the next chapter of her life after a very tough six years.
“Brent’s so laid back, it works really well. He’s always been really good with the kids and just wants to be a good role model.”
