Radio host Lana Searle and her partner of five years, flight attendant Katie Cochrane, tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Russell’s historic Duke of Marlborough Hotel in the Bay of Islands.

“We can’t stop smiling after the most incredible day,” the ecstatic More FM presenter tells Woman’s Day. “Everything was exactly how we wanted it – even the impromptu tour bus swinging by halfway

through the vows!”

Bubbles all round! The newlyweds celebrate with their wedding party.

Celebrating their big day was especially sweet for the couple after they had to postpone the wedding for a year due to COVID restrictions.

Lana says they both wanted everyone to have as much fun as possible.

Bridal bliss! Lana (left) and Katie finally get their dream big day.

“We held the ceremony and the reception at the Duke, which meant everyone could relax from the moment they turned up. We sang into the night with local band 3’s A Crowd and even managed to pull off our own Beyoncé set dance. It was a day of celebrating love!”

For Lana, 35, and Katie, 40, who had been friends for years before becoming a couple in 2018, the long-awaited wedding was the perfect reflection of their relationship.

The Celebrity Treasure Island contestant says, “We’re just extremely grateful we’ve found each other. It’s a little bit later in life than some people, so we’re still that sick couple who are madly in love.”
