Black Cap fast bowler Trent Boult has married his long-term partner Gert Smith in a romantic ceremony.
The couple celebrated with family and friends at Kauri Bay Boomrock in Clevedon, south of Auckland.
“The best day of my life and so much more,” Boult wrote in Instagram, alongside a stunning photo from the pair’s big day.
“An absolutely amazing day celebrating with all our closest family & friends – Thanks to everyone who influenced the day and to the gorgeous Gert for making all my dreams come true. I love you ❤️”
Smith, who is a primary school teacher in Mount Maunganui where the couple live, wore a stunning Venetian lace silk tulle gown from Hera Couture.
Boult proposed to his partner of three years while on holiday in Melbourne last year.
At the time, Smith wrote on Instagram: “Just when i thought it was going to be another normal week. I awoke to find Trent had other ideas. Walking through an incredible Redwood forest on a chilly afternoon in Melbourne – Trent asked me to marry him and without a doubt I happily said yes!
“I couldn’t be happier to spend the rest of my life with this guy.”
The pair are honeymooning in Bora Bora, before the Black Caps next games against West Indies in November.
