The beauty products that have a royal seal of approval

Discover the iconic makeup and skincare products that have been given the palace seal of approval!

Princess of Wales’ picks

While she tends to stay quiet about the products she uses, the Princess of Wales was spotted dabbing on Clarins Natural Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer, $44, while sitting courtside at Wimbledon. Offering a silky-smooth finish that’s soft on lips, with a subtle shaded tint, it’s no wonder this little beauty is Kate’s go-to gloss for application on the go.

Meanwhile, it’s rumoured Kate’s lush lashes are thanks to Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara, $71, which volumises without clumping and never flakes. The formula has even been approved by Princess Diana’s former makeup artist Mary Greenwell, who used the product in a YouTube tutorial on how to replicate the late princess’ beauty look. When it comes to nails, Kate favours a natural look as per royal beauty regulations, keeping her manicure neat, on the shorter side and square in shape.

Lastly, the princess is said to be very fond of rosehip oil, in particular the certified organic version made by New Zealand company Trilogy, $29.99.

Meghan’s must-haves

The Duchess of Sussex is a fan of Dr Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap, $19,in the calming lavender scent. An all-natural, multipurpose liquid, it can be used as a body wash, bath gel, shampoo and even a clothes detergent.

Inspired by Victoria Beckham, Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria, $55, is the makeup artist’s take on the former Spice Girl’s signature nude lip shade. Meghan wore the matte formula for her Time magazine cover.

And just because it’s fit for a duchess doesn’t mean it needs to break the bank! Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Lotion, $12.99, is a favourite of Meghan’s for its hydrating finish.

Scents of royalty

While Meghan has been known to publicly declare her love of Jo Malone fragrances, the Princess of Wales is also a huge fan of the brand. According to Vogue, Kate used Jo Malone Orange Blossom candles at her wedding and has been rumoured to enjoy the cologne version, from $129, as well. The signature scent offers fresh floral notes of clementine flower perfectly balanced with warm orange blossom. A quick spritz of this and you’ll soon be making the move from commoner to queen!

Eugenie’s essentials

According to the princess, there are two brands behind her natural dewy glow. “I use Charlotte Tilbury and Bobbi Brown – Charlotte’s mascara and Bobbi Brown bronzer. They are geniuses,” she told Harper’s Bazaar, referring to Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes, $51, and Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder, $106.

Looking like a lady

Model and royal Lady Amelia Windsor is an advocate for organic, sustainable beauty purchases – whether that’s swapping bottles of shower gel for soap bars, opting for a bamboo toothbrush over a plastic one or investing in a refillable toothpaste. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t love full-face glam, however, with one of her top makeup picks being Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, $109.
