Ricky and Haydn are “the fun guys” on The Block – and this week’s challenge proves that, with the best mates showcasing their home to prospective buyers in a riot of colour and music.
“We were able to be ourselves and entertain guests,” says Haydn. “The house speaks for itself – it’s that real fun-factory vibe.”
Instead of presenting an office space to the judges this week, the friends create a games room, boosting the idea that their house is an entertainers’ dream holiday home made real.
“Our rumpus room is one of the more fun rooms of the house. We really dominated with ours,” tells Haydn. “We came out with a strong plan to bring a party and bring the noise. That’s what we love to do.”

Plumber Ricky, 34, adds, “We chatted to everyone, from the local shop owner to [billionaire property investor] Adrian Portelli. We made sure that wherever we were, we gave everyone the time they deserved. It was just important to us to make sure everyone felt welcomed.”
In fact, those attending the event felt so welcome, they partied into the early hours, with one of their friends waking up on the couch the next morning.
“People were dancing on our tables and enjoying the night to the absolute fullest,” recalls Ricky.
So who’s the biggest partier? “Mimi, for sure,” laughs Haydn. “Believe it or not, she was the last one to go to bed – at 6am!”
