The aspiring model says fame has "almost worked against" her

Her famous family may have gotten her noticed, but Kendall Jenner says her name has also been a challenge for her developing career as a model.

In the latest issue of LOVE magazine, the 18-year-old cover girl opens up about her ambitions to be a high fashion model and what she’s had to overcome to get there.

“People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn’t. What I have has almost worked against me,” Kendall told the magazine.

“I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model.”

While it may have been slow going in the beginning, Kendall has now worked for Chanel, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs, just to name a few.

Big sister Kim couldn’t be prouder of her sibling’s success, even though Kendall has sometimes banned her from attending the shows!

“She called me before and was like, ‘Hey, I was invited to the show, I just wanted to let you know. Do you want me to come?'” Kendall revealed to LOVE, adding that she later told Kim ‘no’.
