Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have just welcomed their brand new baby boy, and like royal clockwork, the beautiful name has also now been revealed.

The royal parents welcomed their first child with a very exciting announcement going up on Eugenie’s Instagram account.

And now, she and Jack have released three beautiful new images of the royal baby.

As for the name? August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

“We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.. ,” Eugenie’s latest Instagram post read.

“Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you.⁣”

She added that the images had been snapped by her midwife on a routine visit after the birth.

Fans of course were immediately enamoured by the moniker, with thousands quickly flocking to the comments section to share their love for the name.

What does Princess Eugenie’s baby name mean?

The name has both elements of tradition and uniqueness incorporated. The first, August, is a slightly less-traditional title, but his second name Philip is a beautiful tribute to his great-grandfather – 99-year-old Prince Philip.

Ever since they announced they were expecting their first child, Eugenie and Jack have been front and centre for royal fans, who understandably love the opportunity to celebrate a new royal baby.

Of course, a big question on everyone’s lips has been whether the royal baby will receive a title or not – as this is a choice entirely up to Eugenie and Jack.

And now, it looks like our question has finally been answered.

In the coming weeks, there’s a definite chance we’ll catch more of a glimpse of the new royal addition, with Eugenie being somewhat of an anomaly royal when it comes to using social media.

Indeed, the flame-haired York’s Instagram page is filled with personal and public anecdotes about her life and work as a royal family member.

Her charity, the Anti-Slavery Collective is also a key part of her platform.

Eugenie and her close pal Julia de Boinville work on the charity together, frequently meeting people of influence and those in need as they work to raise awareness for modern slavery.

And among these important snippets of information, expect some sweet baby updates too. With this in mind, there’s an awful lot of reason to follow Eugenie on Instagram these days.
