Prince George meets Santa!

The royals are getting into the Christmas spirit and have taken Prince George for his first visit to meet Santa!

The adorable little prince was taken to a quiet English country town on Saturday by his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The 17-month-old cutie was wide-eyed and excited as he waited with other children at the Santa’s magical journey display in Thusford, Norfolk.

George had a 15 minute chat to Santa as his parents stood by his side and was overjoyed when he was given a little wooden toy train set.

“George seemed to have a lovely time. When I saw him, he was walking around,” Geraldine Rye, the general manager at Thursford, said.

“It was a private visit and they were not given any special treatment. We only knew shortly beforehand that they were coming.

“They would also have seen Santa’s workshop before going to Father Christmas’s house. There were lots of different things for them to see and they were treated just like everyone else.”

Meanwhile, others who were at the event quickly took to Twitter, delighted that they saw the royal trio out and about.

“Today @Thursford our visitors to see Santa were Prince William, Kate and George, this is my second time performing here and seeing them,” Richard Griffin said on Twitter.

While the Queen and Prince Philip attended church yesterday morning, they weren’t joined by the royal couple, who are spending time with Duchess Catherine’s parents ahead of Christmas.
