Royal fans have had to wait a little longer than usual for the first sighting of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the famous balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were unable to venture to the iconic spot to share their first public kiss on their wedding day, instead we caught a glimpse of the pair at the Trooping the Colour parade.

Stood behind a little way behind the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Harry and Meghan joined four generations of royals on the balcony to mark the Queen’s 92nd birthday and watch the Royal Air Force fly by. The celebration also marked another in a long line of ‘firsts’ for Meghan, as of course this is also the first time she has attended this special event.

Beaming in what we’d all like to assume to be a post-honeymoon glow, Meghan wore an off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress in dusty pink with a matching Philip Treacy hat for her balcony debut.

Saturday’s celebration also marks the first time Meghan has appeared with the entire royal family – except for Prince Philip who retired from public duties last year – for an official event since her wedding to Prince Harry last month.

Joining the procession up the Mall through to Buckingham Palace, Meghan arrived in a carriage shared with her husband of three weeks behind Kate Middleton who rode in a carriage along side Camilla – both dressed in coordinating castle blue dresses.

Behind Meghan and Harry in the procession were Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Sophie, Countess of Wessex while Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Charles arrived on horseback.

If you looked closely you might’ve been able to spot a couple of sweet moments shared between Meghan and Harry as the family waited for the air display to get started.

However, as with many Trooping The Colour ceremonies gone bye, all eyes were on the royal children and the mischief they were causing at the very front.
