The Queen knows that a thank you card can go a long way. But with so many to write Her Majesty needs a little help.
A new job ad for The British Monarchy is hoping to find the right candidate to help send “congratulations that are never forgotten.”
According to the description on the royal website the new role will be in ‘The Anniversaries Team’ which “helps to produce congratulatory messages that provide a vital link between The Queen and the public”. The ideal candidate will help pen and post messages ‘that mean so much to so many people’ on behalf of the palace.
The person who fills the role will have the perk of working at Buckingham Palace but, as HRH sends out thousands of birthday and wedding anniversary cards each year, whoever gets the position will certainly have their work cut out.
The Queen’s cards are sent to those celebrating their 100th birthday, 105th and every year thereafter, and to those celebrating their diamond wedding (60th), 65th, and 70th, with this continuing every year after the 70th.
Queen Elizabeth’s congratulatory messages consists of a card containing a personalised message.
The right applicant will be expected to work 37.5 hours a week and be paid a base salary of roughly $33,700 a year with benefits.
