Disney has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming film Moana, the company’s first movie to feature a Polynesian Princess.
The animated tale is set in the South Pacific and follows the adventures of the demi god Maui and the young Moana, as they set off together on an epic journey across the sea. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson voices Maui while Moana is voiced by newcomer Auli’i Cravalho.
Moana was written by Kiwi filmmaker Taika Waititi, and is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the duo responsible for Disney hits The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. The film will hit cinemas on November 23 this year.
