Movie chat: Beauty and the Beast

Watch our Woman's Day movie buffs dish all the goss on the latest live-action flick from Disney

The highly anticipated live-action remake of Disney's Beauty and the Beast hits Kiwi cinemas today, and to celebrate, our resident movie buff Sebastian van der Zwan and junior reviewer Kiki sat down to discuss their take on the fairytale adaption.
Starring Emma Watson as Belle and Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens as the Beast, the movie is directed by Bill Condon and promises a more modern take on the classic Disney heroine.
Emma, who is a proud feminist, told Entertainment Weekly that it was important for her to make some changes to the character "to make her more proactive ... and a bit more in charge of — and in control of — her own destiny."
Check out our movie chat for Beauty and the Beast in the video above, and watch below to see what happened when Woman's Day writer Ellen donned the iconic yellow ball gown to live out a day in the life of Belle!
