Georgia Fowler on how much she loves her nieces and why time with family makes her day

The Kiwi model has worked with Elie Saab, Balmain and Victoria’s Secret – and is the host of Project Runway NZ.

My typical week…

If I’m working, no two days are the same! People often think that modelling is a really glamorous lifestyle, but I’m usually on several flights a week or alone in hotel rooms unable to sleep with jet lag.

Travel tips…

Because I’m constantly travelling, I make sure I look after myself, especially my skin. I moisturise twice a day, always make sure to drink plenty of water and work out as much as possible (while listening to my body).

During downtime…

I love to sit down on the couch and FaceTime my family, especially my beautiful nieces. If I’m not shooting, I love a slow morning with a coffee on my roof, and maybe a breakfast date with a friend.

I put on my workout gear first thing so I have no excuse not to go for a walk and get to the gym. I will work out with a trainer, or do SLT (strengthen, lengthen, tone), boxing, yoga, spin, or sculpting exercises. My trick is to mix it up every day so you are working new muscles and don’t get bored!

The most fabulous people in fashion I’ve met are…

Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld.

My favourite TV show…

Sex and the City

My favourite book…

White Teeth by Zadie Smith

Top of my bucket list is…

Safari, sky dive, and see more of the world.

My top 3: The best advice I’d give…

1. Kindness is key. Love honestly and wholeheartedly.

2. Be appreciative and enjoy the moment you’re in.

3. Wear sunscreen.

If I could live off one food, it would be…

Avocado and eggs

The best birthday I ever had was…

My birthday this year. It was spent on my rooftop with my sister and her babies in NYC; that was pretty special.

The movie I’ve watched the most in my life is…

The Little Mermaid

My hidden talent is…

I love to play the piano and sing karaoke (more of a performance act than vocal talent!)
