Radio star Georgia Burt is set to tie the knot after accepting a romantic proposal from her partner Hamish Stewart, 29, while on a coastal hike in Auckland’s Waitakere Ranges.
“Words can’t even begin to describe how happy we both are,” the host of ZM’s Jam Packed Workday, 29, tells Woman’s Day.
“He proposed when I least expected it, along the beautiful Ōmanawanui Track. We were just about to embark on 600 or so steep stairs when he asked me to have a look at the view.
“As I’m looking out at the water, he began reminiscing about our relationship, which is when I realised what was happening. He then got down on one knee, saying, ‘It would be an honour for you to be
my wife…’ Of course, my answer was, “Absolutely yes!’ We’re still on cloud nine and never coming down.”
