It was a match made in heaven when Paul Henry sat down to interview teen sensation Justin Bieber during the popstar’s whirlwind New Zealand visit – and it seems Bieber was feeling the love, too!
The Canadian native chatted candidly about everything from fan interactions to his fitness regime, and even happily lifted up his shirt to show off his famed washboard abs. Paul even bared a little skin of his own, helped along by Justin unbuttoning his shirt as the two got up close and personal!
However, the 21-year-old also touched on more serious topics during the interview, including the pressures of fame and the ups and downs of his faith.
Owning up to a period of being unhappy, Justin revealed he now surrounds himself with the right people.
“I didn’t change by myself – people who love me invested themselves in me,” he told Paul during a more reflective moment.
Justin made headlines even before his Kiwi visit when he sent out a Snapchat pleading with his fans to be more respectful when asking for photos. Since arriving on our shores, he’s weighed in on everything from the flag debate (he’s of the opinion it should stay the same) to “sexy” New Zealand girls.
Last night, the star made a surprise appearance on stage during American hip hop group Rae Sremmurd’s Auckland gig, giving fans a taste of his new single ‘What Do You Mean?’. The singer is scheduled to host an exclusive event today before jetting off to his next destination.
