Victoria Beckham received an OBE from Prince William for her services to the fashion industry on Wednesday, April 19.

The pop-star-turned-fashion-designer was named an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British in an investiture ceremony at London’s Buckingham Palace.

Fittingly, Victoria chose to wear a loose-fitting black jersey dress from her eponymous fashion line for the special event.

Victoria was joined by her husband and parents for the momentous occasion.

The 43-year-old’s husband, David Beckham, and her parents, Jackie Adams and Tony Adams, were on hand to see her receive the honour. Her four children — Brooklyn Beckham, 18, Romeo Beckham, 14, Cruz Beckham, 12, and Harper Beckham, five — were not present.

However, the family were quick to show their support on social media.

“I want to say how proud I am of my mum today as she received her OBE,” son Romeo captioned an Instagram upload of Victoria alongside the Duke of Cambridge.

He added: “She works so hard and really deserves this honour.. We love you mum x.”

Speaking to the achievement, Victoria said: “It was an absolute pleasure to be at Buckingham Palace today. I’m proud to be British, honoured and humbled to receive my OBE from the Duke of Cambridge.”

“If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things.”

“I’m so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband; without their love and support, none of this would be possible.”

Since leaving the Spice Girls, Victoria has built a highly-regarded fashion empire and her sought after designs have been worn by some of Hollywood’s biggest A-list stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose Byrne, Blake Lively and even, Beyonce.
