Scarlet Johansson has been working in Hollywood since her debut in North at age 10, so it’s only understandable that her look has undergone some serious changes since then!

The versatile actress has proven she’s a chameleon on and off the screen, rocking a variety of looks from blonde bombshell to eye-catching redhead. She’s not afraid to mix up her style, whether it’s taking on a daring makeup trend or experimenting with dramatic short hair cuts.

Young starlets Jena Malone and Scarlett hold hands at the The Hollywood Reporter’s 1998 Youngster Awards at the tender age of 13, both wearing minimal makeup and natural hair and slip dresses.

At a London party for the film The Horse Whisperer in 1998, the actress sported a golden tan, embroidered slip dress and braids.

At the premiere of Eight Legged Freaks on July 16, 2002, the now-17-year-old debuted an edgier look with smoky eyes, red hair and a (fake) spider tattoo… Could this photo have been an early sign of her future role as Marvel superhero Black Widow?

Scarlett donned smokey eyes and a choppy, punk-chic mullet at the 2003 IFP Independent Spirit Awards on March 22, 2003. The star was 18 years old at the time.

Later in 2003, Scarlett went back to a more classic Hollywood style for the Girl with a Pearl Earring premiere.

At the 2008 Met Gala, Scarlett teamed her strapless dress with beachy waves, fresh, glowing skin and red lips.

Scarlett got it so right at the 2005 Oscars. Her Marilyn Monroe hair, copper dress and golden makeup gave her a glow of old Hollywood glamour.

Scarlett’s look for the premiere of the He’s Just Not That Into You in 2009 had critics somewhat divided. The straight brown hair was a departure from her usual blonde waves, but we think the star looks gorgeous as usual!

In 2011, Scarlett was back to blonde for the Oscars, sporting a magenta lace number with a brown smoky eye – you could even say she was pioneering the lob!

The star let her hair down at another Met Gala outing, pairing her off-the-shoulder gown with coral lips.

At the 2014 London premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Scarlett added strawberry blonde to the list of hair colours she’s not afraid to try!
