There’s no doubt that Taylor Swift is one of the biggest stars in the world, and now that Forbes has released their annual list of the highest-paid celebrities for 2016, it’s clear the popstar has a paycheck to match!
According to the publication, the ‘Blank Space’ singer earned a whopping $170 million in the last year, much of it thanks to her hugely popular 1989 World Tour. Taylor broke the Rolling Stones’ North American touring record for ticket sales with the tour, helping to place her firmly on the top of the star-studded list.
Meanwhile, Taylor’s ex Harry Styles came in just below the singer at second place on the list along with his band mates from One Direction. Forbes reports the group earned $110 million last year, gaining them the distinction of being the highest-earning boy band of all time.
Interestingly, Taylor’s most recent ex-love Calvin Harris also made the list, albeit at number 21 with $63 million in earnings.
The rest of the top five list included author James Patterson with $95 million and athlete Cristiano Ronaldo and Dr Phil McGraw both earning $88 million.
Adele also scored highly, coming in at ninth place thanks to earnings of $80.5 million.
