Selena Gomez has fired back at her ex Justin Bieber after he slammed his fans for cyber bullying his new teenage girlfriend Sofia Richie.
Yesterday Justin captioned an Instagram photo of himself with rumoured girlfriend Sofia, 17, daughter of Lionel Richie threatening to make his social media accounts private.
‘I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.’
This outburst came after his fans had criticised Sofia’s outfits and appearance in previous photos of her that he had posted.
Only a few hours later, fans posted a screenshot of a comment that appears to be from Justin’s ex Selena Gomez.
“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.” She reportedly wrote.
In case that wasn’t subtle enough, Selena then went on to post a collage of pictures of her with her adoring fans.
“My whole life. You matter most. Thank you letting me do what I love every day.”
A second statement believed to be from Justin has since appeared online.
“It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love,” he reportedly wrote. “I’m not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes I love my beliebers.”
While neither Justin or Sofia has confirmed their relationship, they have been seen together on a number of occasions including holding hands while shopping in Tokyo yesterday.
Sofia has now responded to the feud with tweets to her fans.
“#purposetour is still on… The music is still coming.. Love who you want… Stop the damn hate… And love each other!!”
