It seems that Newshub’s 6pm presenters are now living the single life.
Mike McRoberts recently separated from his wife of 20 years, Paula Penfolds. And now, according to Spy, Samantha Hayes is also newly single.
Hayes, 32, has split from her paleoclimate geologist beau Jacob Anderson. The pair first met in 2014 and began dating in 2017.
“Jacob and I have known each other for ages and earlier this year we reconnected when I was doing a story on Sir Peter Blake and he was working for the trust,” she told Spy at the time.
“We’re taking things one day at a time and enjoying life.”

Hayes has previously been linked with Rhythm and Vines promoter Hamish Pinkham, former boyfriend of Kimberley Crossman, and social media guru Tommy Bates, who is now in a relationship with Jaime Ridge.
Hayes’ co-presenter McRoberts has reportedly already moved on after his split with Penfold. He was recently pictured kissing a mystery woman at an Auckland beach over the new year break.

McRoberts and Hayes have a forged a great working relationship during their time on air.
Mike referred to Hayes as his “work wife” in an interview with Womans Day last year.
“My second marriage is going very well indeed,” he said.
“It almost feels like we’ve been doing it forever,” said Hayes. “And fortunately, the wheels haven’t fallen off and there have been no major disasters!”
