Sam, 22, has been here in New Zealand for the past few days getting ready for a series of shows, and he’s been loving the beautiful scenery Aotearoa has to offer!
The Grammy award-winner has been soaking up the sights, posting snapshots on social media from Piha and Hobbiton and gushing about how much he likes it here. The love affair seemed to have started even before he touched down, as he shared a photo of the country from his airplane window two days ago with the caption “New Zealand. I’ve fallen in love with you before I’ve even landed on you”.
The ‘Stay With Me’ singer has since wasted no time getting out and about, posting photos from a trip to beautiful Piha beach and a visit to Hobbiton near Matamata.
In other news, the singer has also revealed he finds comments about his weight far more hurtful than comments about his sexuality.
Sam, who came out as gay last year, opened up about his weight loss journey in an interview with 60 Minutes.
“If someone called me fat, that affects me way more than someone calling me a f*****,” he told the program.
The singer has been following nutritionist Amelia Freer’s eating plans and sticks to a diet free of gluten, sugar and processed foods. He has been hitting the gym frequently and reportedly lost 6kg in just two weeks.
