Bad-boy comedian Russell Brand and his partner have reportedly become first-time parents.
According to fans, Brand made the announcement during one of his live shows.
“He was conscious of the clock and made sure he was off stage by just approaching 9pm as he ‘needed to get down the f—ing M21 as my girlfriend has just had a baby’,” audience member Daniel Crann relayed to the Mirror.
It’s the first child for Brand and his fiancee, 27-year-old lifestyle blogger Laura Gallacher, but the couple have not released any public details about the gender or name of the baby.
The couple have been dating on and off since 2007, but Brand proposed earlier this year.
The 41-year-old star, who was previously married to singer Katy Perry, revealed his parenting plans on The Jonathan Ross Show.
When his host remarked on the new sense of calm and zen surrounding him, Russell also said: “Well some of that is because I’m in a monogamous relationship now so I’m a lot calmer”.
“I feel lit up by the idea,” he has previously said of becoming a father. “I’m very excited about becoming a dad and I’m preparing myself. I am just getting ready to be with a new little person and see what it is they want.”
