Kiwi sporting stars Richie McCaw and Gemma Flynn are kicking off 2016 with a bang! The talented pair confirmed the happy news of their engagement with a gorgeous photo posted to Facebook.
Former All Black Richie, whose life story is set to hit the big screen soon in the form of a documentary, revealed the two had been celebrating with family and friends in Otago.
“Happy new year to everyone. I’ve had a fantastic start to 2016 and feel very lucky,” he wrote on Facebook.
“Gemma said ‘yes’! It’s been great celebrating our engagement with friends and family in sunny central Otago. Here’s to a great year ahead.”
The Facebook post included two photos of Gemma and Richie, one with the pair holding glasses of champagne (with a sparkling rock clearly visible on Gemma’s finger) and one of the duo sitting with family and friends around a restaurant table.
