Just hours before she was due to take to the stage for her first live show in four years, Pink was trapped in an elevator with her eldest child, six-year-old daughter Willow.
The pop star shared her predicament with fans over social media, taking to Instagram to post a photo of the duo waiting patiently inside the lift backstage and send out a call for help.
“Stuck in an elevator (it’s getting hot in here) (love in an elevator) (livin in a box) #help” she captioned the shot, which was taken from overhead.
Thankfully, the “Just Give Me A Reason” singer made it out safely with Willow, later posting an update to fans as she was getting glammed up for her on-stage appearance.
The gig, at the Summerfest in Milwaukee, marked the first time Pink had performed live in four years. On Instagram, she reflected about the momentous occasion, thanking her fans for showing their love and admitting to feeling wracked by nerves prior to going on stage – even forgetting some of the lyrics to her songs.
“After four years, it’s always a little nerve wracking to start it up again. But I got one look at your faces and my heart filled with love. This is us celebrating the fact that I only rolled my ankle once and only forgot the words to four songs. #grateful,” she captioned a backstage snap of herself holding Willow.
The singer recently welcomed her second child, a boy named Jameson Moon, with husband Carey Hart.
