She’s known for her bold personality on and off the stage, but in a new interview with Paper magazine, Miley recalls a vulnerable moment at the age of 14 when she told her mother Tish Cyrus she was bisexual.
“I remember telling her I admire women in a different way. And she asked me what that meant. And I said, I love them. I love them like I love boys,” she told Paper.
While the news was hard for Tish to understand, Miley says her mother has accepted her daughter for who she is. She went on to reveal she’s had relationships with both women and men, even though it’s her boyfriends (including one-time fiance Liam Hemsworth) who’ve made the headlines.
Today, Miley says she is open to ‘anything’ and sees her sexuality as a flexible concept.
“I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age,” she told the magazine.
“Everything that’s legal, I’m down with.”
The photoshoot for the magazine is just as revealing as the story, with a cover image featuring Miley posing nude with her pet pig. The spread features more nude photographs, but the magazine is no stranger to courting controversy – they were also behind the infamous Kim Kardashian ‘Break The Internet’ story last year.
