A Kiwi classic will soon be returning to our screens with the announcement that quiz show Mastermind is set to be remade! NZ on Air has just announced it has given funding to Warner Bros for a remake of the popular 1980s quiz show.
Mastermind was a gameshow that ran for 15 seasons until 1990. Hosted by Peter Sinclair, contestants faced two minute general knowledge rounds on an array of specialist subjects ranging from Shakespeare, opera and food, to children’s books, yoga and chemistry.
Thirteen forty-five minute episodes have been funded for the new series, which will broadcast at prime time on TV One.
