In an interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the songstress was asked whether she would ever return to Idol.

“Hell no! Absolutely not! That was the worst experience of my life,” she revealed, before slamming the show as “so boring and so fake”.

“You have to make up things to say about people. Half the time the performances are good,” she revealed.

Mariah’s season of Idol was also dominated by the controversy surrounding her and fellow judge Nicki Minaj, with the two even rumoured to have had a public falling-out while filming the show. The footage never made it to air, but the rumours swirled for the entire season!

Earlier this month, Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe called the casting of the two women as judges “a major failing” and said it took the attention away from the contestants. Mariah herself opened up about the rumoured feud in the interview with Kyle and Jackie, saying it “wasn’t cool” of the show to pit herself and the rapper against each other as women.

One person who doesn’t have anything bad to say about Idol? Former judge Simon Cowell, who released a statement about the “great times” he had making the show.
