Margot has a new title: Mum. Barbie star Margot Robbie, 34, gave birth on October 17, with a source revealing her baby boy arrived shortly before his due date and that “all is well”.
The news came days after Margot’s film producer husband Tom Ackerley, 34, was spotted stocking up on supplies near the couple’s gated home in LA’s Venice Beach, picking up eco-friendly nappies, a box of cigars and a bottle of wine.
The pair have remained tight-lipped about becoming parents, only revealing Margot’s pregnancy in July. They went on to enjoy a romantic babymoon in Italy in August.
Australian-born Margot, however, has been happy to sing her British husband’s praises. “I was the ultimate single gal,” she tells. “The idea of relationships made me want to vomit.
“And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot.’
“And then it happened and I was like, ‘This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.’”
Says another insider of the pair’s new baby, “They’ve wanted to be parents for a really long time and are so happy.”
